The theme for this year’s National Library Week (April 19-25) is ‘find your joy’—an invitation for people to discover what sparks joy in them at the library. For us, one of our ‘joys’ is Hoopla, our digital collection platform.

Celebrate National Library Week with us April 18–25 as we explore this year’s theme, “Finding Your Joy.” National Library Week is a time to recognize the vital role libraries play in our communities, including providing access to knowledge, fostering creativity, and bringing people together.

Each year on April 22, communities around the world come together to celebrate Earth Day, a time to reflect on our planet, deepen our understanding of environmental issues, and explore ways to protect the natural world.

The Beaufort County Library, in cooperation with the Beaufort County 250th committee and others, will celebrate the quarter-millennial of American democracy from April 1 through July 2 with a mix of activities you can do at your own convenience and scheduled activities before Independence Day 2026.
