The St. Helena Library Branch Makerspace is a hands-on creative lab where community members can explore digital design, media production, and emerging technologies. Whether you are recording a podcast, editing a video, printing a 3-D model, or learning new creative software, the Makerspace provides the tools—and the support—to help bring your ideas to life.
What You Can Do in the Makerspace
3-D Printing
Design and print three-dimensional objects.
Use 3-D printing to:
Create prototypes
Print tools, toys, and replacement parts
Explore engineering and design concepts
Library staff can help you get started with design files and printing guidelines.
Audio Lab
Record and edit professional-quality audio in a quiet, equipped workspace.
Use the audio lab to:
Record podcasts, audiobooks, music, and voiceovers
Edit audio projects
Learn audio production basics
Features include: microphones, headphones, and audio editing software.
Mac Lab
Access professional-grade creative software on Apple computers.
Use the Mac Lab to:
Edit photos, videos, and audio
Design graphics, flyers, and digital art
Work on creative school and business projects
Software may include: video editing, graphic design, and audio production tools.
Who Can Use the Makerspace?
The Makerspace is open to all library cardholders. Beginners are welcome—no experience required.
