If you are looking for the latest headlines and in-depth reporting, but you aren’t sure where to start? Look no further than the library! Beaufort County Library provides online access to both The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
The best way to access the online subscriptions is to first start on the library’s website. You can find the links for the NYT and WSJ here, or on the Magazine and News page, when you hover over the Borrow button on the menu bar.
When borrowing the NYT, there are a few important things to remember:
You will need a NYT account
To access the news, you will need to redeem a code
The code is only valid for 24 hours
The renewable code is the only way you can access the NYT website for free, and the only way to get the code is to click the link on our website.
Once you’ve clicked on the code you will be directed to a new page to go through a series of prompts, as you can see below.
Accessing WSJ works in the same way, except the code is valid for 72 hours. You can see the process below.
If you ever experience issues using the access codes, the best troubleshooting advice is to:
Make sure you are using either Google Chrome, Safari, or Mozilla Firefox for your browser
Delete the cookies in your browsing history
