Black History in the Beaufort District Collection
During Black History Month in February, the BDC highlights local history resources related to the Gullah people and the yearly theme selected by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH). The 2026 theme is "A Century of Black History Commemorations."
VITA, AARP to Offer Free Tax Help
The Beaufort County Library is pleased to continue the long-standing tradition of hosting free tax preparation assistance to Beaufort County citizens provided by Lowcountry Area VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) and American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).
