Celebrate Poetry Month at Hilton Head Branch

The Hilton Head Branch is excited to host two events on April 5th to celebrate National Poetry Month for 2018. The Pat Conroy Literary center will be joining us at 2pm for "Pat Conroy's Great Love of Poetry" during which Tim Conroy, Pat's brother, will "explore Pat’s lifelong relationship with poetry as a reader, as a self-described failed poet, and as a writer who found a creative outlet for the rhapsody and rhythms of poetry in his iconic lyrical and descriptive prose." Civil War and Reconstruction-era Stereoscope Collections Now Available View over 150 images in the Library’s new stereoscope collection. The images date back to the Civil War and Reconstruction time periods and include historic lowcountry sites and people around town. The images can be enjoyed with or without 3D glasses. Need to fax or scan something? We have good news. All five of our library branches now have BookScan stations. To get started, just bring what you need to scan to your nearest branch. It's so easy. 1. Scan your documents, photos, books, or other items. 2. Then save the scans to your USB drive or as JPEGs, PDFs, or other file types. 3. From the same screen, simply email or fax the file wherever it needs to go. Big stores charge for these services, but the Beaufort County Library offers these services for FREE.
