Summer Reading Program 2015

CALLING ALL SUPERHEROES! The Beaufort County Library has planned a summer of fun with our 2015 Summer Reading Program. Babies, toddlers, children, and teens can participate in the reading program and participate in the many fun crafts, stories, movies, parties, and games at the library branches.

This year’s program has a super hero theme and runs June 6th through Friday, July 17th. Children through age 10 can participate in the “Every Hero Has a Story” program and ages 11-17 can participate in “Unmask Your Inner Hero.”

Participants set their own goal for the number of minutes or the number of books that they will read or listen to during the 6-week program. Young children who cannot yet read may participate by listening to stories. Parents and caregivers of young participants can pick up an activity sheet filled with fun, free ideas for developing pre-reading skill sets in their babies and toddlers.

Most branch libraries will have a special kick-off celebration to be held Saturday, June 6th, and all branches will also host a wrap up celebration on Saturday, July 18th. Further information can be found at the library or by visiting our website at

Soar into our branches or register below beginning June 6th.
