“Old Fields, New Plough: The Preservation of Northern Beaufort County’s Rural Heritage” will be the topic of Historic Beaufort Foundation's February’s "Dinner and a Lecture" at the Verdier House, February 27th at 5:30 p.m.
Evan Thompson, executive director of the Preservation Society of Charleston and formerly executive director at Historic Beaufort Foundation, 2004 -2010, will offer a new look at historic structures and preservation issues relating to Beaufort's agricultural economic heritage, particularly after the Civil War era.
