Who can volunteer at Beaufort County Library?

We are looking for volunteers who

• Are at least 12 years old
• Have a sincere desire to serve others
• Possess a current Beaufort County Library Card

What do volunteers do?

BCL has many volunteer applicants every year, and we do our best to match the best applicants to open volunteer positions. Some things a volunteer might do are:

• Assist customers in using the public computers and provide tutorials to new computer users
• Shelve returned items in their assigned places
• Work with library staff to provide special programs for customers

How do I start?

Complete a volunteer application [1] and background check form [2] and turn those in at your nearest Beaufort County Library branch [3]. A volunteer coordinator will review the form and contact you about suitable volunteer positions. Thank you for your interest in helping Beaufort County Library!
