We have opportunities for you! These volunteer opportunities are currently available at the Beaufort Branch Library. All positions require a commitment of at least six months. Weekly hours will be determined by you and the head of your department.
Adult Programming Board
Be one of the first members of this new group! Get involved with planning, promoting, and presenting programs for adult library patrons. The Board will meet twice a year and volunteer as needed for programs. (No weekly schedule!) You must be 18 or older to join. Computer lab assistant
Good with computers and people? Work with the reference department to provide basic computer instruction and assistance to our customers. You will need a strong background in computer use, including the Internet, MS Office products, and basic troubleshooting. Patience and excellent interpersonal skills are also required
Teen Board
Make the library a great place for teens! The Teen Board meets on the first Tuesday of every month, at 5:00 PM. Design bookmarks, suggest programs, and express your ideas for the library. You must be in grades 6-12 to be on the Teen Board. For more details contact Maria Benac, Youth Services Librarian, at 470-6510.
