The Beaufort County Public Library System provides five branch locations to serve you.

Professional Reference Librarians

Assistance from professional reference librarians is available at the Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head Island branch locations (and staff at the Lobeco and St. Helena Island facilities are trained to communicate with reference staff to answer your questions).

Our staff of knowledgeable professionals will talk with you one-on-one to find the best resources to meet your employment needs -- through books, magazines, computer resources and expert referrals to other agencies.

Library staff can also provide brief answers by telephone (see our online directory of branch Web sites) and e-mail (refdesk@bcgov.net).

Books, Magazines, and Interlibrary Loan Service

Ask our reference staff to help you find the information you need in our collections of books and magazines. Prepare for your visit by searching our online library catalog from your home or office computer (click here to begin!).

When we do not have the books or magazine articles you need in the Beaufort County Public Library System, adult registered borrowers may request them through our free interlibrary loan service. As a member of the wordlwide Online Computer Library Center network, the Library can request that other libraries send materials directly to your nearest branch location.
