HHi Friends logoOnce again, the Friends of the Hilton Head Library will present eight thought-provoking movies in their popular Film Festival Series. The program will start January 14th, at 2:00 pm, and will run each Thursday, in the Library Meeting Room. The following are this year's selections...

January 14th - "Doubt" - Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman at their best.

January 21st - "Before the Rains" - Really good Raj drama set in 1930s India. Proves the validity of "East is east, and West is west...."

January 28th - "Julie & Julia" - Meryl Streep is Julia Child

February 4th - "Atlantic City" - Louie Malle directs Burt Lancaster in one of his last, best films.

February 11th - "84 Charing Cross Road" - Schmaltzy, but good drama about books and nice people.

February 18th - "Flawless" - Michael Caine and Demi Moore in a very good jewel heist caper.

February 25th - "Shopgirl" - Steve Martin wrote and stars with Claire Danes in a serious, but warm, present-day story.

March 4th - "Love in the Time of Cholera" - Javier Vardem and Benjamin Britt in the fine adaptation of Marquese's famous novel.

Interesting travelogues start at 1:30. Spirited discussions follow each film for those who wish to stay There are refreshments!
