Singleton with a discussion of her new book. “Beaufort Through the Ages” introduces us to 50 provocative Beaufortonians who stand together in their fierce allegiance for this place in spite of their divergent views on the consequences of rapid growth and change within Beaufort County since 1960. The author, a native of the town of Burton in Beaufort County, feels enormously privileged to live in Beaufort and experience the exquisite beauty the area offers. A graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and is the author of Growing Professionals, a book focusing on soft skills and workplace etiquette. A career counselor at a local high school, she considers Beaufort an absolute treasure; rich in beauty, culture, history and diversity.
