Courtesy of Penn Center, the St Helena Branch Library will host the Bostick Mini Quilt Display from October 1st-31st.  These quilts are examples of the quilts used during the Underground Railroad that provided messages for Harriet Tubman who was traveling in the region to take escaped slaves safely to the North.  Dr.

Discover what it was like to travel on a ship, or on a wagon trail.  Experience history each week through taste, sight, sound, and hands on  activities/games.

 Enjoy a discussion of mysteries old and new over coffee and treats. October’s book is The Ghost Writer by John Harwood. Viola Hatherley wrote ghost stories in the 1890s, but her work was forgotten until her grandson Gerald discovers her writings in a secret drawer in his mother’s desk. When his mother catches him in the act, his life is changed forever.
